"DREAM" (2011) FOR MIXED CHOIR A CAPPELLA

Please join me at the premiere of my newest work for a mixed choir a cappella.

Dream is written for mixed choir a cappella (16 parts). French poet and critic Stéphane Mallarmé states that naming an object takes away three fourths of its power,"to suggest is to dream".The piece is characteristic for static harmony but full of shimmering colors. It was inspired by the great composers of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century representing impressionistic atmosphere introduced by analogy with contemporaneous French painting.
